Nine Days of Rain

| October 15, 2005 -- The ninth straight day of rain produced flooded streets and basements this morning after a night of steady rain. These pictures represent the flooding across Middle Road in East Greenwich, RI at the intersection of RI Route 2 (South County Trail). Middle road was completely swamped from a small stream that crosses the road at this point. Route 2 south of this intersection was also closed due to flooding from this same stream. Local TV stations were showing severe flooding in many towns throughout Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts. |
