COLDWATER, MI — Donna V. Schroyer, 82, of Coldwater,
passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at the Community
Health Center of Branch County.
The funeral will
be held Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Northview
Christian Church in Coldwater, with Pastor Jeff Bream
officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer
National Cemetery in Augusta. Visitation will be held
prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. at Northview
Christian Church; arrangements are being cared for by
Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Donna was born
April 3, 1932 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Donald and
Wilma (Brinkman) Middleton. She married Lewis W.
Schroyer on Sept. 25, 1954 in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He preceded her in death on June 22, 1991.
Mrs.
Schroyer was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She
had also worked in accounting for Kenner Toys and the
Kroger Co. for many years. More recently, she worked for
The Sewing Basket, Walmart, Standard Printing & Office
Supply, Coldwater Optometrics and retired from Sussex
Vision.
Donna was a member of Northview Christian
Church, Branch County Extension Homemakers, the Red Hat
Society and Big Brother, Big Sister. She had a great
love of sewing and quilting, teaching quilting classes
and belonging to the Sew & Sew Quilt Guild. Donna
enjoyed gardening and was also very active at the Senior
Center where she learned how to create stained glass.
Donna is survived by her sons Tim (Martha) Schroyer
of Coldwater, Don (Donna) Schroyer of Chicago, Dale
(Donna) Schroyer of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts; her
daughter Jean (Henry) Ruppenthal of Wheeling, West
Virginia; her brothers and sister Dick Middleton, John
Robert (Mary) Middleton and Marjorie Frith; seventeen
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She
was also preceded in death by her sister June Smith.
