Barbara Jean Hovermale, 77,
of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at
the Shenandoah Center, Charles Town.
Born
September 5, 1936 in Berkeley Springs, she was the
daughter of the late Richard Elmer and Carrie Bea
Lineburg Twigg.
She
was of the Methodist faith.
She
was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and had
worked as a hostess with a banquet center in Lancaster,
Pa.
She
liked to play the lottery and surf the internet. She had
been a homemaker in recent years.
She is
survived by her children, Michael Spring, Robin Gaither,
John Hovermale and James Hovermale, all of Berkeley
Springs; one sister, Betty Hutchinson, Great Cacapon;
one brother, Elmer Twigg, Great Cacapon; 11
grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and many nieces
and nephews.
In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Robert Hovermale; one sister, Louise
Fischer and three brothers, Robert, Ronnie and Roger
Twigg.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m.
on Saturday, September 13 at Highland Cemetery, Berkeley
Springs with Pastor Steve Dawson officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson
Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street,
Berkeley Springs.
