Charlene Phyllis (Henry) Bohrer of Kearneysville, formerly of Berkeley
Springs, WV, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
She was born August 23, 1937 in Morgan County to Melvin Edgar Henry, Sr.,
and the late Hazel Delores (Michael) Henry.
She was a devoted Christian, and a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother
and Granny.
Charlene was a faithful member of Berkeley Baptist Church in Berkeley
Springs for many years. Recently she was an active member of Westview
Baptist Church in Martinsburg.
She worked as a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, cooking and being able
to help others.
Charlene served as a Troop Leader in the Shawnee Girl
Scout Council for several years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Arkley Bohrer; one son,
James Edward Bohrer (Rebecca), Shepherdstown; one daughter, Jody Lynn
Mason (Donald), Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Michelle Malmquist
(Brian), Harrisburg, NC, and Sabrina and Jessica Mason, both of
Martinsburg; two brothers, Richard Henry (Martha), Cocoa, FL, and Melvin
Henry, Jr. (Sarah), Huntsville, AL; and four sisters, Virginia Sporer
(Malcolm), Smithfield, VA, Frances Clark (Gary), Cocoa, FL, Judy Lerner
(Ray), Dale City, VA, and Barbara Clark (Donald Kidwell), Berkeley
Springs.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Westview
Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Kelly officiating. Interment will be at
Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 22nd at Brown Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westview Baptist
Church, 301 South Louisiana Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25401 or Hospice of
the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Ct., Martinsburg, WV 25403.
