Ellen J. Stull, 78, of Chambersburg, went home to her
Lord on Tuesday morning, November 3, 2015 at the
Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 14, 1937 in Keyser,
WV, she was the daughter of Frank and Mae Shawkey Evans.
Ellen attended the former Chambersburg High School
and graduated in 1955 from Berkeley Springs High School
in WV. She worked as a seamstress at Stanley Co. for 20
years then worked for the Chambersburg Hospital for 15
years until her retirement in 1990. Ellen was a member
of Grace Brethren Church, AARP and sang with Joy Chorale
in affiliation with Camp Joy-El. She enjoyed going to
church, doing word puzzles, singing, reading, and
sitting with her dog Lovey.
Ellen is survived by
her husband, Paul Stull; daughter, Deborah Sanders
(husband Timothy) of Chambersburg; two grandchildren,
Stefanie Sanders of Chambersburg, and Lucas Sanders
(wife Mary) of Chambersburg; four great grandchildren,
Kaelee Sanders, Jaedyn Matthews, Lily Sanders, and Trent
Brunk; five step-children, Paul F. Stull (wife Lynn) of
Chambersburg, Kelly A. Stull of Chambersburg, Lori
McClure (husband Robert) of Shippensburg, Ron Foust and
Judy Reeder; several step-grandchildren and step-great
grandchildren; and a special niece, Barbara Evans. In
addition to her parents, Ellen is preceded in death by
her first husband, Luther Dawson; her second husband,
Wilbur Foust; granddaughter, Brandis Sanders; and three
brothers.
A funeral service to honor Ellen’s life
will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 6, 2015 at
Grace Brethren Church, 315 S. Edwards Ave. Chambersburg,
PA 17202. Pastor John Bayer will officiate. Interment
will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive
friends on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00
PM at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation
Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and
one hour prior to the service at the church.
